About Pacific Prime Singapore's Scholarship Program 2022

At Pacific Prime, we believe that education is a right and not a privilege. The opportunity to study should be available to everyone, irrespective of background. So to support this belief, we have designed a scholarship program to help offset some of the costs associated with education for a well-deserving applicant. The Pacific Prime scholarship is available to high school and undergraduate students studying in Singapore and offers a USD $1,000 bursary to an exceptional and noteworthy student.

Your essay should be between 600-1,000 words and contain your thoughts and ideas, along with external references where possible. Feel free to be as creative and informative as you want!

Important note:

The winner of the scholarship program will have their article published on our website.

Therefore your essay must be your work, and any plagiarism will result in your entry being rejected.

Eligibility criteria

The scholarship program is open to high school and undergraduate students of any nationality or age in Singapore.

To be considered eligible, you must be currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) or accepted to a high school, university, community college, institute (including private education institutions), or trade school for the upcoming semester. Proof of enrollment will be required should you be awarded this scholarship.

Submission deadline

Applications for the 2022 scholarship program must be received no later than September 30th, 2022 (no exceptions).

The recipient of this year’s scholarship will be announced on November 1st, 2022, and will be presented with the award at our office or via mail if they cannot collect it in person. If the bursary is not claimed within 30 days, we will select another recipient.

Summary: Eligibility Criteria

Please note: you will be asked to provide proof of student documents if you are selected to receive this scholarship.

To be considered an eligible applicant, your essay must be:

  • Between 600-1,000 words
  • An original piece of work. (Note: All submitted entries will go through a strict round of checks to ensure zero plagiarism.)
  • Submitted by September 30th, 2022 - No late entries will be accepted.
  • Submitted by a currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) or accepted high school student or undergraduate student at a university, community college, institute (including private education institutions), or trade school. Any faculty is accepted.
  • Written in American or British English.

Terms and Conditions

  • By participating, you consent for Pacific Prime Singapore to contact you via mail, email, and/or telephone call. In addition, if you are selected as the recipient of this scholarship, you are giving us your express consent to use your name, college or school, and your essay on our website, as well as for any other promotional purposes, without further compensation or payment to you.
  • The winner will receive a USD $1,000 bursary.
  • The scholarship awardee is responsible for payment of any applicable income taxes in their own respective country due to the receipt of the scholarship.
  • Successful applicants are required to submit original copies of their proof of enrolment, as well as a copy of their academic records before the award is disbursed.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or plagiarised applications.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to reject all applications not submitted in English.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to publish the entries received on any platform(s).
  • The result is decided solely by Pacific Prime Singapore’s scholarship committee panel.
  • There are no restrictions placed on the recipient regarding holding other scholarships.
  • If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from their course and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed, as well as any other damages that may be incurred.
