On Thursday morning (September 19, 2019), the air quality in Singapore has been labeled <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.haze.gov.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unhealthy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The Pollutant Standard Index (PSI) reading was 120, well within the \u201cunhealthy\u201d category. The day before, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/singapore\/haze-hits-unhealthy-levels-on-wednesday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PSI reading<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> went up to as high as 140. Breathing in these harmful pollutants can lead to a wide array of health issues.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><strong><strong>Irritation:<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> For healthy individuals, being exposed to the haze may cause temporary irritation to the nose, eyes, and throat.
